Even ultra-casual dungarees—which Vogue contributing editor Ellie Pithers aptly describes as “the sartorial equivalent of a hot water bottle”—get the superstar treatment from J.Lo.

Spotted hand-in-hand with her fiancé Ben Affleck (second time’s a charm) in Los Angeles, the newly engaged 52-year-old singer wore a look that was low-key and sexy all at once. A pair of sold-out A.L.C. black figure-hugging dungarees with a basic short-sleeve white T-shirt underneath, but instead of trainers, a striking pair of black Alaïa stiletto shoes to complete the ensemble. Max Mara Geometric sunglasses in tan (she’s on board with the shield shades revival) and a Coach bag (she’s an ambassador for the American brand), were among her accessories.

As wedding bells ring in the distance, J.Lo has been all smiles of late. With that enormous pale green diamond ring (rumored to be 8.5 carats) on her finger, why wouldn’t she be? In her newsletter—which she used to announce her engagement on Tuesday—Lopez explained the reason behind the unique stone: “Green has always been my lucky color and now, for sure, it always will be.”
